Project Workshops is a vibrant and highly regarded centre for the visual arts. It consists of a group of twelve artists' studios situated in beautifully restored flint and brick farm buildings at Lains Farm, Quarley, near Andover, Hampshire. On 10 - 11 May, Project Workshops will be holding their Summer Exhibition, showcasing the work of their resident artists together with a selection of visiting artists and designers from across the country.

To launch their Summer Exhibition, Project Workshops will mount a spectacular Gala Evening and private view on the 9 May. This is a chance to soak up the atmosphere and view artists’ work, accompanied by a few glasses of wine, canapés and music by local band 'Just 4 Jazz'. The highlight of the evening will be an auction of work donated by the resident and visiting artists. Auction lots include original works of art, private commission opportunities and a weekend of Glass Blowing tuition. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Alzheimer's Society.

The Summer Exhibition attracts thousands of visitors each year and is a wonderful opportunity to buy from independent craftspeople and designers. There will be attractions for the whole family including various demonstrations of glass blowing, jewellery making, pottery, leatherwork and metalware. The Courtyard Garden will feature an exciting exhibition of sculpture, and local bakery Burbidge’s will be on site providing refreshments throughout the weekend.

In addition, for the second year running, Project Workshops will be welcoming Artists in Test Valley. The group includes ceramicists and potters, painters, printmakers, sculptors and an artist working in stained glass.

Tickets for the gala evening cost £10.00 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets for the rest of the weekend can be purchased on the door at £5.00. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to Alzheimer's Society.
